This project analyses Schelling's incomplete system in his late philosophy. It is the goal of the project to explain the systematically incongruous form in the context of a post-Kantian metaphysics. A clear outline of the final system will emerge in a "virtual image" reconstructed by means of philosophical analyses.

The Philosophical Correspondence of Avicenna and al-Bīrūnī

At the heart of this project is the epistolary correspondence between the Persian philosophers Avicenna and al-Bīrūnī around the year 1000 CE. In addition to the investigation of the surviving texts, an improved Arabic text will be produced, as well as the first reliable translation into a European language. Finally, a detailed commentary will explain the historical as well as philosophical aspects of the correspondence.

Kant on Emotions

The project is dedicated to the question of the significance of emotions and feelings in the work of Immanuel Kant. For Kant, feelings play an essential role, in so far as they give us orientation in the world. Using this as a starting point, the project attempts to develop a new understanding of Kant's philosophy.

The task of this project is the systematisation of free logics. The key difference from classical logic lies especially in alternative forms of modality, identity and quantification. The project focuses on neutral free logic, which has been less well studied up to this point.
