Chair of Philosophy of Mind (Prof. Dr. Ophelia Deroy)
The Chair of Philosophy of Mind contributes to core teachings in the Faculty of Philosophy as well as for the Graduate School of Systemic Neurosciences (GSN), specifically in neurophilosophy, and supports the Neuroscience, Cognition, and Philosophy (NCP) branch. Core courses include Introduction to Philosophy of Mind (offered in both German and English), Philosophy of Social Dilemmas, Minds and Machines, and Philosophy of Perception. The Chair also runs an advanced graduate seminar on philosophy and cognitive neuroscience, along with specialized seminars on topics such as learning, communication and empirical and statistical thinking for philosophers.
