I studied at and received my PhD from LMU. My first postdoc position was at the KU Leuven in the Formal Epistemology Project. Thereafter I worked at the MCMP in a DFG-project on syntactical treatments of modalities, with Prof. Leitgeb as principal investigator. After a one-year stay at the Scuola Normale Superiore, I carried out my own DFG-funded project on Logical Pluralism, lasting three years, at the MCMP. I have held the position of assistant at the MCMP over several semesters. In July I will start as the PI of the AHRC-DFG funded project: The Mathematical Turn in Philosophy: Measurement, Computation, (De)Idealization.
One of my main research interests is truth from the perspective of philosophy of language as well as logic, especially axiomatic theories of truth. I am also interested in modalities. In the area of philosophical logic, I carry out research on questions on logical pluralism. In the philosophy of mathematics, epistemic questions are especially relevant. Besides questions of implicit commitment, I am interested in idealizations taking place in formal treatments and the possibility of avoiding those.
