Gadamer Chair in the Department of Philosophy at Boston College (USA)

During the fall semester of 2026 Prof. em. Dr. Günter Zöller serves as Gadamer Chair in the Department of Philosophy at Boston College (USA). The visiting professorship, which has been awarded annually since 2006 to an internationally prominent philosopher, is named after Hans Georg-Gadamer (1900-2002), who was a personal and philosophical friend of the Boston College Philosophy Department. In addition, in the fall of 2026 C. H. Beck will publish the second edition of Prof. Zöller's Hegel book (Hegels Philosophie. Eine Einführung), which first appeared on the occasion of the 250th return of Hegel's birthday in 2020.
