Personal information

Studied philosophy, literature studies, history, and theology at Tübingen and Munich. Doctorate in 2015 with a thesis on Kant's concept of autonomy, habilitation in 2021 on personal life forms. Research stays at the Universities of Notre Dame, Chicago, and Pittsburgh (funded by the DFG, among other bodies). Since 2022, Interim Professor for Practical Philosophy and Ethics at the Universities of Konstanz and Augsburg, and since 2023 head of the DFG project "Kant's Theory of Error" at the University of Leipzig. Co-editor of the OA journal Philosophy and Digitality and co-founder of the DGPhil-AG "Philosophical Digitality Research".

Main research interests in the fields of practical philosophy and ethics, philosophy of digitality, and classical German philosophy. Head of three DFG networks:
