Short Biography

I completed my PhD in philosophy at LMU Munich and am now a postdoctoral researcher at the chair of philosophy of mind and Mi3 lab at LMU. My research lies at the intersection of philosophy, artificial intelligence, and psychology. In particular, I focus on the impact of digital technologies on their human user. I have worked on the social role of AI advisors, and currently investigate group deliberation as a way to foster digital literacy.

Research Interests

Current Projects

  • Collective decisions on data privacy: To combat a global pandemic or receive personal fitness recommendations, sharing personal data at the cost of individual privacy is a timely and essential question. In this project, I examine the impact of group discussions on the individual willingness to share data. The goal is twofold: a) to promote a better understanding of individual data sharing tradeoffs across data types (health, energy, location), data purpose (private, collective benefit) and data recipient (company, public authority), and b) to develop methods that promote digital literacy around data sharing decisions for a more inclusive society.
