Über die Promotion

I am a PhD student supervised by Prof. Stephan Hartmann. Before, I obtained a B.Eg. in mechanical engineering and a M.A in Logic and Philosophy of Science. My M.A. thesis was situated in the discipline of social choice theory, and I modelled social deliberation on preference rankings.

Research project: My dissertation concerns biases in communication and seeks strategies for making them beneficial. In this context, I ask whether chatbot implementation in social media can shift users’ beliefs and biases towards a more desirable direction. I aim to develop an agent-based model which is built on empirics. My broader philosophical interests include collective decision-making and the tension between individual and collective obligations.
