Artificial Intelligence and Distributive Justice (2022 - 2024)

This project, funded by BIDT, concerns questions of distributive justice in applications of AI.

Abstract

The project investigates issues of distribution which arise in key areas where AI is applied using three dimensions of distributive justice: human well-being, equality, and freedom. It is the goal of this research project to develop a framework which enables us to systematically evaluate the moral status of AI applications with regard to their distributive effects, and to nudge the future development of AI in a direction which is conducive to the realization of distributive justice.
